In this creative and collaborative event, we’ll come together to stuff and decorate plush animals, transforming them into adorable superhero companions.
In addition to the stuffed animals, we’ll create a card to provide well wishes to the children receiving the bears and capes. Damon West
M.S. Criminal Justice
Sentenced to sixty-five years in a Texas prison, Damon West once had it all.
Damon West, M.S. Criminal Justice, is a college professor, internationally known keynote speaker and 3x Wall Street Journal bestselling author. His bestselling business book, The Coffee Bean: A Simple Lesson to Create Positive Change, was listed by Forbes’ in the “Top Twenty Books You Need to Read to Crush 2020.”
His autobiography, The Change Agent: How a Former College QB Sentenced to Life in Prison Transformed His World, vividly tells how he transformed the pot of boiling water that is a Texas maximum-security prison into a pot of coffee.
At 20 years old, he was a Division 1 starting quarterback at the University of North Texas, when he suffered a career ending injury. He turned to hardcore drugs to cope with disappointments of life. After graduation, he worked in the United States Congress, was a national fundraiser on a U.S. Presidential campaign and eventually trained to be a stockbroker for United Bank of Switzerland (UBS). One day at UBS, he was introduced to methamphetamines; he became instantly hooked—and the lives of so many innocent people would forever be changed by the choices he made in order to feed his insatiable meth habit.
After a fateful discussion during his incarceration with a seasoned convict, Damon had a spiritual awakening. He learned that, like a coffee bean changing with the application of heat and pressure, he was capable of changing the environment around him. Armed with a program of recovery, a renewed faith, and a miraculous second chance at life, Damon emerged from over seven years of prison a changed man. His story of redemption, grit and determination continues to inspire audiences today.
The Coffee Bean message has inspired thousands. Damon’s clients include hundreds of companies, such as Walmart, State Farm, Wendy’s, Stryker, and sports teams like the Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Timberwolves, Clemson, Alabama and Georgia. The U.S. Army has even incorporated the #BeACoffeeBean mindset into their resilience training. Damon’s story has been featured both nationally and globally.
He is passionate about the Coffee Bean message and loves sharing how it changed his life and how it can change yours, too.
His Wall Street Journal bestselling book, The Locker Room: How Great Teams Heal Hurt, Overcome Adversity and Build Unity, is being optioned for film adaptation.
His children’s book, The Coffee Bean for Kids, is the genesis for Coffee Bean Clubs being started by students at schools all over America.
Today, Damon lives a life of recovery and service, sharing his story all over the world. Of all the hats Damon wears, however, the two most important to him are being a husband to Kendell and a stepfather to Clara.

Reimagining the Org Chart with AI
Rosalynn Verges
AI isn’t just a personal productivity tool – it’s a force that can reshape how entire organizations are structured, staffed, and run. But getting there requires more than curiosity; it requires a strategy.
In this interactive breakout, we’ll walk through the journey from individual AI adoption to organization-wide transformation. 2027 Trends in Kitchen, Bath and Flooring
Paij Thorn-Brooks + Patrick Warren
From jobsite to showroom floor — what’s trending, what’s selling, and what your customers will be asking for next.
The design landscape is shifting fast, and staying ahead of the curve means more than knowing what’s in style; it means understanding why it’s trending and how to position it for your customers. This session delivers a comprehensive look at the colors, materials, finishes, and product innovations that will be driving kitchen, bath, and flooring decisions in 2027.
We’ll cover the palette directions dominating designer showrooms and big-box shelves alike, including the warm earthy neutrals and moody jewel tones replacing yesterday’s cool grays. We’ll dig into the design movements reshaping how clients think about their spaces — from nature-inspired organic forms to the sleek, purposeful lines of modern minimalism — and explore how those aesthetics translate into practical remodeling decisions.
On the product side, we’ll spotlight the innovations worth talking about: large-format tile, sustainable LVP and hardwood alternatives, integrated storage systems in cabinetry, statement plumbing fixtures, and the growing demand for spa-level bath experiences in everyday homes.
Whether you’re bidding a full kitchen renovation, a bath refresh, or a whole-home flooring install, you’ll walk away with a clear picture of where client tastes are heading and how to align your offerings to meet them.
Attendees will leave with:
- A guide to 2027 color and finish trends across all three categories
- Talking points for positioning trending products and styles with clients
- A preview of the product launches and material innovations to watch

Process: Why Great Teams Don’t Wing It
Mel Towey
If your team asks the same questions over and over…
If training depends on who’s doing the training…
If your customers get different experiences depending on who’s serving them…
Or if every answer in the organization still comes back to you…
You don’t have a people problem. You have a process problem.
The irony? Your team is probably working incredibly hard. They’re just rowing in different directions.
Join Certified EOS Implementer® and Business Coach Mel Towey as she shares how organizations – from growing entrepreneurial companies to businesses generating hundreds of millions in revenue – create consistency, accountability, and freedom through simple, documented processes that people actually follow.
This engaging and practical session will challenge the way you think about process. You’ll discover that great organizations succeed because everyone understands the best way to get the job done.
Key Takeaways
- Why inconsistent processes create frustration, bottlenecks, and burnout
- The critical difference between Process and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and why confusing the two creates unnecessary complexity
- A simple framework for documenting and implementing your core processes without overwhelming your team
You’ll leave with practical tools to create consistency, empower your people to make decisions with confidence, and build a business that delivers the same great experience every time—without having to reinvent the wheel.
